FAQ's

You may be able to find some of the answers to your questions here, but if you can’t feel free to email us info@kookietattoo.co.uk or phone us on 023 8063 7010.

What should I bring to my next appointment?

Please bring a valid photo ID and wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the area being tattooed.
For longer sessions, feel free to bring water or snacks to keep yourself comfortable throughout the appointment.

Our artists discuss and draw up all of the designs on the day of your appointment, we believe this works best as you can sit with the artist on the day and discuss what you want, any thing that you want changed or altered can be done there and then.

The time it takes depends on the size, detail and placement of the tattoo. Small, simple designs can take less than an hour, while larger or more detailed pieces may require several hours or multiple sessions. We’ll give you an idea of how long to expect when you book.

No, it’s against the law in the UK for anyone under 18 to get a tattoo, even with parental consent. You’ll need to bring valid photo ID to your appointment.

Everyone’s experience is different, but most people describe the feeling as uncomfortable rather than painful. Our artists will make sure you feel as relaxed as possible and talk you through the process step by step. You’ll also get aftercare advice so you know how to look after your tattoo properly.

Healing times vary, but generally your tattoo will take around 2 to 4 weeks to heal on the surface. You’ll need to follow our aftercare instructions to make sure it heals well and looks its best. Full healing beneath the skin can take a little longer.
